The story is about a young Asian girl, that is stripped of her identity and is forced into an underground brothel to work off a debt she can never repay. She’s drugged and abused until she’s forced to make a decision, her body of her soul. After learning to cope with her imprisonment, she takes advantage of a messy situation and breaks for her freedom. Unfortunately the world is not what it seems to be and where she’s going is a foreign as where she came from.
During the Winter of 2010 a group of 25 passionate film makers and 6 sponsors gathered for 18 days to create a 60 second short film for a Radio Film Festival. The contest was to re-create a film, Not a scene, the entire movie in 60 seconds.
Directed By Barry Liu and Produced by Otto Mak featuring James Clayton, Richard Toews & Janice Lin with illustrations by Shang-Han Chien and Sound Design by Dorian Ma. Our adaptation of Tom Cruise’s 1996 Mission Impossible is a fusion of the contest rules, meet’s comic book shadowed by real life with the original film as the canvas.
